Description
The CitySens irrigation amphora (hydrating olla) in black is a natural watering system designed for indoor plants. This olla slowly releases water into the surrounding substrate, helping reduce water stress and supporting healthier root growth over time. Each amphora is unique and made one by one in Spain using 3D printed wood biofilament, giving every piece a slightly different finish.
The CitySens olla is especially useful for steady watering when you are busy or away on holiday. As roots grow toward the amphora, plants can take up water gradually. You can also choose to add CitySens nutrients (optional) for balanced plant nutrition.
Instructions for use
- Install in the ground: make a small hole in the substrate and place the olla with the top visible. Ensure the buried part has good contact with the soil. If multiple plants share a container, place the olla near the center.
- Fill with water: fill the olla and place the lid on top to help prevent evaporation. Check the water level regularly and wait until the olla is completely empty before refilling. Refilling frequency can vary from a few days to a few weeks depending on the plant, substrate and light exposure.
- New plants: for a new or newly transplanted plant, water the substrate directly for the first few days to encourage roots to establish around the olla.
