Smart Garden Accessories
Smart garden accessories are the consumables and add-ons that keep your hydroponic system running well over time — things like grow sponges, nutrient solutions, replacement pods, and plant supports. When you first set up a smart garden, the starter kit usually gets you growing, but it is the accessories that determine whether you keep using the system six and twelve months later.
We stock accessories for every smart garden we sell — LetPot grow sponges (77-piece kits for Mini, 200-piece kits for Senior/Air/Max), LetPot hydroponic nutrients, replacement LED panels and pumps, EC and temperature meters for monitoring water quality, automatic watering systems for traditional pots, plant support rods and trellises for tomatoes and chillies, and blackout covers for crop cycling. Most parts are model-specific — match the system you own.
Who needs which accessory
If you grow leafy greens or herbs on a 4-6 week cycle, you mainly need grow sponges and nutrient solution refills. If you grow taller crops like tomatoes or chillies, plant support rods and trellises become essential past week three of flowering. Long-term owners eventually need replacement pumps and LED panels as the originals wear out — typically after 18-24 months of continuous use.
How to choose
Always match the accessory to your specific smart garden model. A LetPot Mini takes 77-piece pod kits; Senior and Max use 200-piece kits. Replacement LED panels and pumps are model-specific too. For nutrients, the LetPot bottle covers all LetPot systems; Botanium uses its own nutrient line.

Frequently asked questions
How often do I need to replace grow sponges?
Replace each sponge after one harvest cycle. For leafy greens that is roughly every 4-6 weeks. For longer-cycle crops like tomatoes or chillies, sponges last the full grow cycle (12+ weeks). One 200-pack typically lasts a year for an active grower.
Can I use generic nutrients instead of the brand-specific solution?
Yes, but with care. Generic hydroponic nutrients work if you maintain EC at 1.2-1.8 mS/cm. The brand-specific bottles (LetPot, Botanium) are pre-balanced for their pods, so they are simpler. If you mix your own, see our EC and nutrient guide.
Which LetPot parts wear out first?
The cycling pump and the LED panel are the two most-replaced parts after 18-24 months of daily use. The reservoir, frame, and lid typically last the full product warranty. See our FAQ on which LetPot parts wear out.
Do plant support rods fit all LetPot models?
No. LetPot makes separate trellis stands for Senior and Max. The Mini and Air do not need them because their LED arm is too low for tall crops anyway. Always check the model compatibility on each accessory PDP.
How long do replacement pumps and LED panels last?
Replacement pumps are rated for 8000-10000 hours of cycling — roughly 3-4 years at typical use. LED panels last similar or longer. Both come with the standard 2-year IndoorGarden warranty regardless of how heavily you use them.
