Which model is best for what you want to grow?
If your main goal is herbs for daily cooking (basil, parsley, chives, dill), Mini is the simplest entry point and takes the least space. If you want more herbs and greens at the same time without moving into a larger premium system, Air is the most straightforward capacity upgrade. Lite is a strong “everyday” choice when you want 12 pods plus a bigger tank, so you refill less often, and it stays focused on herbs and greens due to its 40.6 cm max grow height. If you want taller plants like dwarf tomatoes and chilli peppers, Senior and Max make that easier because they both go up to 76.2 cm in grow height, giving more headroom as plants mature. Max is the best match if you want the most automation, the most pods, and the flexibility of the large-pod tray for bigger plants.
What else helps you decide?
- How often you want to refill water: larger tanks (Lite/Senior/Max) reduce refill frequency compared to Mini/Air.
- How tall your plants will get: if you plan tomatoes or chilli peppers, prioritize Senior or Max for the 76.2 cm height.
- How hands-off you want it to be: Max is the only model with automatic water refilling and automatic nutrient addition.
- How much you care about premium materials: Senior and Max use stainless steel alongside ABS for a more premium finish.
- Where it will sit: if it’s a narrow countertop spot, Mini is easiest, while Air stays relatively compact but gives a big jump in pod count.
- How you prefer to control it: if you want on-device controls, all models include touch controls, and Max adds a full touchscreen.
