Warranty length for a smart garden varies more than most buyers expect: LetPot, Click & Grow, Botanium and CitySens all carry the EU’s 2-year statutory minimum, Rise Gardens offers 2 to 3 years but only ships to North America, AeroGarden’s own limited warranty runs just 1 year, and several budget and newer brands publish no multi-year warranty at all. Spare parts availability inside the EU matters as much as the warranty length on paper.
A warranty is only as useful as the spare parts and support behind it, and that is where smart garden brands differ most once you look past the headline number. This guide works through what each brand’s own terms actually say, whether spare parts ship to the EU, and which of the systems below we stock and support directly from our Tallinn warehouse.

What a smart garden warranty actually covers
Every warranty in this comparison covers defects in materials and workmanship for a set period from the date of delivery or purchase, and every one of them excludes normal wear and tear, misuse, unauthorised repairs and damage from accidents or power surges. None of that is unusual, and none of it is where the real differences lie. What actually matters to a buyer is threefold: how long the covered period runs, whether a faulty unit is repaired or simply replaced, and whether a worn part such as a pump or light panel can be bought as a spare once the warranty itself has expired. A brand that offers a long warranty but sells no spare parts in Europe can still leave you stuck once that period ends.
LetPot, Botanium and CitySens: EU warranty and EU-stocked spares
LetPot, Botanium and CitySens are the three brands in our own range, and all three carry the same 2-year warranty under EU consumer protection law that applies to every product we sell, not a shorter manufacturer-specific term. Because we hold stock in Tallinn rather than shipping spares from outside the EU, a worn LetPot pump, light panel or pod kit reaches a customer on the same delivery schedule as a new unit, and the same applies to any Botanium or CitySens part we stock. That combination, a full EU legal warranty plus parts already sitting in an EU warehouse, is the main reason we built our range around these three rather than a brand that only sells through marketplaces from outside Europe.

Click & Grow: an EU company, the same statutory minimum
Click & Grow is designed and based in Estonia, and EU retailers listing the Smart Garden 3 state a 2-year warranty on the unit1, matching the same statutory minimum LetPot, Botanium and CitySens carry through us. We do not stock Click & Grow, so a claim or a spare part goes through Click & Grow’s own channel or the retailer you bought from rather than through IndoorGarden. If you already own one and need a part, the clickandgrow.com shop is the first place to check rather than a general EU retailer.
AeroGarden, Gardyn and Rise Gardens: longer on paper, built for North America
These three publish the longest-looking warranties of the group, but all three are structured around a US or Canadian customer. AeroGrow’s own limited warranty for AeroGarden covers defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase, and explicitly limits coverage to the original retail purchaser who bought from AeroGrow or an authorised seller2. Rise Gardens offers a tiered warranty of 2 years on hardware and electronics for units bought from September 2026 onward, extending to 2 years on replacement parts bought from Rise Gardens or an authorised reseller3, but the warranty page itself only names a US and Canadian store, with no EU terms published. Gardyn displays a 3-year warranty badge on its site, though the published terms we could find do not break down what that period actually covers4, and its replacement-parts process runs through a support email rather than a stocked EU parts catalogue. None of the three currently sell or ship routinely into the EU, so a European buyer importing one privately should expect a warranty claim, and any spare part, to travel back across the Atlantic.

iDOO and Plantaform: budget and newer brands, less published
iDOO sells mainly through Amazon and similar marketplaces rather than a dedicated EU store with its own warranty page, so coverage for a European buyer typically runs through the marketplace’s standard return window rather than a published multi-year manufacturer warranty, and we found no EU spare parts catalogue for the brand. Plantaform is a newer entrant without a dedicated warranty page we could verify at the time of writing; as a company selling into the EU, any unit bought here would still fall under the same 2-year statutory minimum that covers every consumer good sold in the bloc, but that is a legal floor rather than a brand commitment, and there is no sign yet of a stocked spare parts range. Both are worth factoring in if a lower price today is being weighed against support five years from now.

Frequently asked questions
Which smart garden brand has the longest warranty?
Gardyn’s badge claims 3 years, the longest figure we found, though the detailed terms behind it were not fully published on the pages we checked. Among brands with clearly stated terms, Rise Gardens and the EU brands at 2 years are the most transparent.
Does a 2-year warranty mean the same thing for every brand?
Not quite. For LetPot, Botanium, CitySens and Click & Grow, the 2 years reflects the EU’s statutory minimum consumer guarantee, which applies automatically to goods sold in the bloc. A US brand’s 2-year figure is a company policy that can change and does not carry the same legal backing inside the EU.
Can I get spare parts for a US-brand smart garden in Europe?
Usually only by ordering from the brand’s own US or Canadian store and paying international shipping and any import charges, since none of AeroGarden, Gardyn or Rise Gardens currently stock parts in an EU warehouse.
What happens if my LetPot, Botanium or CitySens unit develops a fault?
Contact our support team with your order number and a description of the issue. Because the warranty and the parts both sit with us in Tallinn, repair, replacement or refund follows your EU consumer rights without an international shipment involved.
Is a published warranty length the only thing worth checking?
No. Whether spare parts are actually stocked near you matters just as much, since a long warranty is little comfort if a worn pump or light panel takes weeks to arrive from outside Europe once the covered period narrows down to a single part failing.
Do iDOO and Plantaform have any warranty at all in the EU?
Any unit sold into the EU is covered by the bloc’s 2-year statutory minimum regardless of what the manufacturer publishes, but neither brand showed a dedicated warranty or EU spare parts page at the time of writing, so a claim would need to go through the seller directly.
Where to start if support matters to you
If a quick, EU-based repair or replacement matters as much as the price tag, the three brands we stock are built around exactly that: a full 2-year warranty and spare parts already sitting in our smart garden replacement parts range rather than a form on another continent. Our FAQ on which LetPot parts wear out over time covers what to expect part by part, and the full smart gardens range shows every model this warranty applies to.
