Description
About the Plant
Italiano Classico Basil (Ocimum basilicum) is a traditional, aromatic annual herb widely valued in Mediterranean cuisine. Its fresh or dried leaves add a sweet, slightly spicy flavor to fish, meat, cottage cheese dishes, soups, and sauces. Basil is also used as a medicinal herb thanks to its soothing and digestive properties. This variety can be grown in garden beds, balcony planters, and windowsills. Being sensitive to cold, it thrives best in warm, sunny conditions.
Hydroponics & Smart Garden Use
Basil is one of the most popular herbs for hydroponic and smart indoor gardens. When grown in these systems, plants can mature up to 3x faster compared to soil. Indoor hydroponic gardening allows you to enjoy fresh basil leaves all year round, regardless of outdoor conditions.
